Backcover Text:

Cin Fin-Lathen finds accepting an all expenses paid working-vacation in Cornwall, England has placed her in the center of a murder mystery that begins with the death of an American airman in the forties and ends with the discovery of a lost and priceless musical manuscript by famed composer Aaron Copland.

Cin, who has been hired to organize the papers and instruments that remain at the Bathgate music school, meets Father Michael, a Jesuit priest on a mission to find out what happened to his uncle Donald who was himself a Bathgate student fifty years ago.

The discovery of the theft of musical manuscripts coincides with a series of attacks on Angie Bathgate, Cin and Father Michael.  As the two mysteries convergy, Cin finds herself fighting for her life.  Can she unearth the reasons behind the violence or will she join the forgotten decomposing manuscripts.

Ah Ha!
So, you figured out I would addict people to reading and then start up a home cleaning business and make a million bucks...so all I have to do is figure out how to turn on the vacuum.

Stop it!
Seriously, I decided to read this book because I liked the other one so much. I am getting nothing done because  once I begin one of your books I can't stop until I'm finished. I am surrounded by a million things that I should be doing other than reading. Thanks anyway! Ritz

I'm enjoying this read.  I love your main character and the dialogue and your descriptions of places too.  I will keep on reading it and I hope it does well for you.

Not the type of book I would usually choose to read, but I'm glad I did as I very much enjoyed what I have read so far.  You have a really nice, authentic style to your writing, which very much makes it stand out in the crowd from books of its genre.

Classic Who-done-it.

Who is this priest on the plane? Why does everyone know more than Cin does?  I'm having a tough time putting this down.

An intriguing back cover, reminds me of an Agatha Christie novel (which is a good thing). Cornwall is a brilliant setting for a murder mystery! I liked your comfortable style of writing, it drew me into the story immediately without need for complicated introductions or people doing unlikely things, like in thrillers. Your characters seem approachable and familiar.

I'm not a professional reviewer, so I'll comment spontaneously.  The opening is short, sharp and provides intrigue, within a page - the 'hook' works.  Everyday events, with which we can all identify, are cleverly manipulated into pieces of a puzzle.  To begin to solve that puzzle, I had to read on, which I did with growing pleasure.  There are no laboured explanations, and none are necessary, as the skilfully-written narrative answered questions before I needed to pose them.  There are several strands, here, each with a story within.  All this, combined with authentic dialogue and the need to put together the pieces of the puzzle, provides a winning combination, and I look forward to reading more.  Excellent stuff.
