Always the bridesmaid

By: Anna Pescardot

Rank: 82

Backcover Text:

A romantic comedy which combines the realism of family life and friendship with the spiritual aspects of fate and cosmic ordering. The story revolves around twenty-eight year old Nicole who is feeling unloved, unwanted and fed up. It seems everyone she knows is getting married, while she is getting older and unhappier and dreads ending up alone.

Desperate to change her life from boring to brilliant she enlists the help of her eccentric best friend, Patsy.  Together they use cosmic ordering to help conjure up Nicole's perfect man. When Nicole's life suddenly gets more complicated she soon realises that it might not have been such a good idea after all.

This story is so much better than genre chick-lit - I love the author's comic timing (just perfect) and the dialogue sings. I could read the whole thing in one sitting - and I just might do that.

Fun in Taffeta

Oh, the angst, the wit, the spot on dialogue.  Great voice!  Ah, there is so many ways this could go...I must read more.

I read this awhile back on authonomy and liked your title, your MC, and the humor.  BTW, just read that they've made diapers for brides - can you imagine?
